Summary: Family Tasks Timer is designed for families. The app does not require an account, does not sell data, does not show third-party ads, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Schedules, completions, and settings stay on your device unless you choose to export a backup.

1. About the App

Family Tasks Timer is a family-friendly app designed to help children and parents manage routines, scheduled tasks, timers, and optional location-based reminders. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the app.

2. Information We Collect

Family Tasks Timer is designed to minimize data collection. The developer does not operate servers that receive your task lists, routines, or family information, and does not require you to create an account.

The app does not directly collect personally identifiable information such as:

Name
Email address
Phone number
Photos, contacts, or messages

Information you type into the app (for example, task titles, place labels, or addresses you choose to save) is stored locally on your device and is not intentionally transmitted to the developer.

3. Optional Device Features

Some features use your device’s capabilities only when you enable them. You can decline permissions and still use most of the app.

Location (optional)

If a parent or guardian sets up place-based tasks, the app may ask for location while using the app permission. Location is checked on the device to detect when you arrive at or leave a saved place (for example, home or school). The app does not use background location tracking.

Saved places (label, coordinates, and optional address) and location trigger state are stored locally on the device. Location data is not sold and is not intentionally sent to the developer.

Notifications (optional)

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device for upcoming tasks. Notification content is generated from your local schedule and is not sent to the developer.

Widgets and Live Activities (optional)

On supported devices, home-screen widgets and Live Activities may show upcoming task titles, times, and today’s progress. This information is shared only within your device (for example, through the operating system’s app extension or widget mechanisms) and is not transmitted to the developer.

Manage lock (optional)

A parent or guardian may protect Manage settings with a PIN or device biometrics (such as Face ID). The PIN is stored securely on the device using platform secure storage.

4. Children’s Privacy

Family Tasks Timer may be used by families and children under parent or guardian supervision. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians configure schedules, optional saved places, and device permissions.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.

5. Local App Data

The following may be stored locally on your device to make the app work:

Task names, times, recurrence, and completion history
Timer and duration settings
App preferences and accessibility settings
Optional saved places and location trigger state
Snooze overrides, streaks, and achievement progress
Widget and voice-assistant snapshots derived from your schedule

This local information is not sold and is not intentionally transmitted to the developer.

6. Backup and Export

You may export a JSON backup from Manage (full backup, tasks only, or settings only). Exports are created on your device and shared only where you choose (for example, Files, email, or cloud storage you control). The developer does not receive backup files unless you send them directly.

7. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on platform or development services such as Google Play Services, Apple platform services, and Expo. These services may process limited technical information needed for app delivery, diagnostics, security, crash reporting, over-the-air updates, or platform functionality.

8. Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

Family Tasks Timer does not use third-party advertising and does not sell user data. If analytics or crash reporting is added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what is collected and why.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Data Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect the app and reduce unnecessary data collection. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but the app is designed to keep routine data on your device and avoid collecting sensitive personal information on developer-operated servers.

11. Data Deletion

Because the app does not require an account, you can delete locally stored app data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app from your device. Exported backup files you saved elsewhere are your responsibility to delete.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
